Contest Planning

1. Opening Ceremony

An opening ceremony will be held to officially mark the start of the competition and to introduce its purpose and operational framework to participants. The ceremony will proceed as follows: welcome remarks by Zach and Jennifer, opening address, competition briefing, safety orientation, and an overview of the judging criteria and key evaluation points.

2. Rube Goldberg Machine Setup

5. Award Production

Certificates, medals, and trophies will be produced as awards for the competition. English certificates and medals will be presented to recipients of the Grand Prize, Gold Prize, Silver Prize, and Special Awards. In addition, prize presentation boards will be produced to clearly display and present the prize money to award recipients during the award ceremony.

Venue Design and Setup

The venue will be designed to support efficient operations and smooth visitor flow. Key areas—including the stage, team zones, judging area, and audience seating—will be clearly organized. Signage and promotional materials such as banners and photo zones will enhance on-site navigation and communicate the competition’s identity.

Advance to the World Championship

Award-winning teams (Grand, Gold, and Silver Prize) will advance

to the U.S. Finals and the World Championship.

Goldberg Merchandise Production

To enhance participant engagement and strengthen the competition’s brand presence, we will introduce a line of commemorative merchandise for the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest Korea National Team Selection. The collection includes eco bags, key rings, pens, name tags, badges, and apparel designed as both practical items and meaningful keepsakes.
